Brecon Jazz Weekend have announced Gower Brewery as their headline sponsor for the whole Festival weekend for 2022.
First staged in 1984, created by local musicians, promoters and fans the Brecon Jazz Festival was a community-based event modelled on New Orleans-style events. Since then, it has grown and morphed into a full weekend of music and entertainment. Now in its 39th year the 2022 Festival weekend will feature Jazz FM and BBC Radio 2 broadcaster Clare Teal taking to the hallowed hall of Brecon Cathedral on the Saturday with her Trio.
When you come to Brecon for the weekend expect to see free music on the Bulwark Stage, lots of jazz festival shows across venues in town, the fringe festival, the legendary Frazz parade and workshops, exhibitions as well as endless live music.
Gower Brewery was set up in 2011 as a microbrewery and is now an award winning brewery, producing outstanding beer in the heart of the Gower Peninsular.
Paul Whittaker from the Brecon Jazz Weekend, commented:
“We are delighted to welcome Gower Brewery as our headline sponsor for this year’s festival weekend. The whole weekend will see Brecon come alive with live music and show that the people and the venues are commitment to keeping Brecon firmly on the musical map. We are looking forward to our audience enjoying a Gower Brew or two whilst enjoying some fantastic live music.”
Helen Stephens from The Gower Brewery added:
“We are excited to partner with the 2022 Brecon Jazz Festival Weekend, their eclectic mix of jazz and fringe venues, the big outdoor stage and of course the audience of music fans from far and wide are a natural fit for our extensive range of beer, all brewed in an area of outstanding natural beauty.”
